Sec 144 Imposed In Jayashankar Bhupalpally District For A Week
Jayashankar Bhupalpally/Hyderabad, Mar 1 (Maxim News): District Superintendent of Police Surender Reddy has declared Section 144 in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district for a week from March 2.
Police declared high alert in the wake of open challenges between congress leader Gandra Satyanarayana Rao and MLA Gandra Venkata Ramana. Precautionary measures are being taken to avoid disturbing peace and order. In this order, a ban has been imposed on rallies, meetings, and shows of the strength of political parties.
The SP warned the district political parties to exercise restraint and that legal action would be taken if they engage in a show of force to disturb the public. As section 144 is in force in the district center from tomorrow till next week, it is advised that no one should gather in groups or create any disturbance in the life of the people.
The SP also made it clear that the police department does not allow public discussions and challenges of political party leaders as part of maintaining peace and security. (Maxim News)
