Secretary, Central Vigilance Commission visits BDL

Hyderabad, 19 Oct 2023: Shri P Daniel, IDES, Secretary, Central Vigilance Commission, Government of India visited the Kanchanbagh Unit of BDL yesterday.   

On his maiden visit to the Company, he was briefed about BDL by Commodore A. Madhavarao (Retd), Chairman and Managing Director, of BDL. A presentation was made by Dr Upender Vennam, IPoS’s chief Vigilance Officer about the vigilance activities at BDL.

A Compendium of CVC Circulars – 2023 and Systematic Improvements suggested by the Vigilance Department and Action Taken by BDL Management (Vol. – II) were released by the Secretary, CVC.

In his keynote address, Secretary, of CVC appreciated the vigilance activities being undertaken by the Vigilance Department of BDL. He underlined the need for transparency and enhancing awareness among the employees about vigilance. 

While highlighting the theme of Vigilance Awareness Week – 2023 viz., “Say no to Corruption: Commit to the Nation”, the Secretary exhorted all to be vigilant about irregularities and blow whistle.

Secretary, CVC, later, visited the in-house R & D Division and manufacturing facilities at BDL, Kanchanbagh.
