Birla mallesh of Maheshwaram mandal filed a petition in the High Court seeking an investigation by the CBI and ED after he complained to the higher officials of the state government about the irregularities in Bhoodan lands, but no action was taken. After hearing the arguments of the petitioner’s lawyer, the bench clarified that if the records are examined, it is clear that lands in survey number 181, 182, 194 and 195 in Nagaram belong to the Bhoodan Board. It was stated that there is a possibility of misuse of power for their own interests in the wake of serious allegations made against the higher officials in the petition.

The High Court, in its discretion, as part of the protection of social property, has issued orders to include thelands in those survey numbers in the prohibited list until the hearing of this petition is concluded.
