Shabbir Ali Joins Congress Janahita Padayatra, Launches Welfare Projects Worth Rs. 7 Crore In Nizamabad and Kamareddy
Kamareddy/Nizamabad, August 2, 2025 (Maxim News): Senior Congress leader Mohammad Ali Shabbir actively participated in the Congress Janahita Padayatra and simultaneously launched major welfare and infrastructure projects in Kamareddy and Nizamabad districts.
The day-long engagements highlighted Congress’s commitment to grassroots governance, food security, social justice, and women empowerment.
Janahita Padayatra: Listening to the People
The Telangana Congress Janahita Padayatra, led by AICC Telangana Incharge Meenakshi Natarajan, TPCC President Bomma Mahesh Kumar Goud, Minister D. Seethakka, and Shabbir Ali, progressed from Alur to Armoor in Nizamabad district. The walk aimed to strengthen public connect and gather direct insights into local issues.
Speaking during the padayatra, Shabbir Ali praised Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra as the inspiration behind Telangana Congress’s electoral success and ongoing public outreach initiatives

“This yatra is our way of understanding the pulse of the people, sharing our developmental agenda, and delivering real, people-first governance,” said Shabbir Ali.
New Ration Cards Distributed, ₹7 Crore Infrastructure Works Launched in Kamareddy
In a major boost to welfare and civic infrastructure, Shabbir Ali also distributed new ration cards and laid foundation stones for CC road and drainage works worth ₹7 crore in Kamareddy. The events were held at Gosangi Colony, Indira Nagar, Harijanwada, and Bichkunda Mandal headquarters
“The Congress government has fulfilled a decade-old dream by issuing new ration cards to poor families who were ignored for 10 years under the BRS regime,” he said, adding that transparency is ensured through gram sabhas in identifying beneficiaries.
He emphasized that Telangana now leads the country in food security, providing 6 kg of free fine rice per person each month to 93 lakh families.
“This is a historic milestone in India’s welfare system,” he noted.
Focus on Women Empowerment and BC Welfare
Shabbir Ali also reiterated the Congress Government’s focus on empowering women and backward classes:
- ₹10 lakh accident and health insurance coverage for women SHG members.
- Proposal for 42% BC reservation has been forwarded to the President of India.
- Local body elections will be conducted under the revised BC quota.
- As part of the six election guarantees, 3,500 Indiramma houses have been sanctioned for the constituency.
- 51 lakh families in Telangana are benefiting from 200 units of free electricity every month.
