The ranking considers multiple factors, including overall performance, proper maintenance of records, and courteous interaction with complainants. Timely grievance redressal and the professionalism of the staff were also key criteria in the assessment. Officials noted that Shamirpet Police demonstrated excellence in all these areas, setting a benchmark for other stations.

Cleanliness of the premises and quality of landscaping were additional parameters in the evaluation. The Ministry also assessed the effective implementation of the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS). Shamirpet Police scored high in managing digital records and ensuring transparency in complaint handling.

Cyberabad police officials said that the recognition reflects their ongoing commitment to public service. “This award encourages us to maintain high standards of policing and public engagement,” said a senior officer. The station’s staff is credited with consistently demonstrating discipline and professionalism while handling citizens’ grievances.

The Ministry of Home Affairs conducts this ranking exercise annually to promote accountability, efficiency, and citizen-friendly policing. Shamirpet’s national recognition is expected to inspire other police stations in Telangana and across India to adopt similar best practices.
