Shukoor asks District Haj Societies to Guide Hajis Step by Step

Hyderabad, Dec 31 (Maxim News): Prof. S A Shukoor, Special Officer Telangana State Haj Committee advised the District Haj Societies to properly guide the aspiring Hajis Step by Step for filling up of the Haj Application Forms in a proper manner.

Addressing a meeting of the officials of the District Haj Societies in his chambers at Haj House, Nampally, Hyderabad here on Saturday, he said that Haj Forms will be issued and accepted from Jan 2 to 24, 2017 by the State Haj Committee.

The HAF can be downloaded from www.hajcommittee.gov.in and can also be downloaded on Android Mobile App “Haj Committee of India”.

The Special Officer informed that this year Haj will be on Thursday August 31, and Haj Flights will commence from July 25, in two phases and that the Haj pilgrims would be provided accommodation in two categories in Makkah.

The pilgrims who opt for Green category would not be allowed to cook their food by Saudi Authorities, he said and added that the pilgrims under two Reserved categories would be selected without Qurra (Draw of lots), and for selection oif pilgrims from the General Category Qurrah would be held in the first week of March 2017.

He said that the Telangana State Haj Committee has made elaborate arrangements for issue and receipt of the Haj Application Forms throughout the state. He said that the Haj aspirants should possess Indian Passports issued on or before January 24, 2017 and should be valid up to February 28, 2018.

He informed the meeting that Janab Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Deputy Chief Minister, Government of Telangana, will release Haj Application Forms (HAF) at 11:30 AM on Monday 2nd January, 2017 at Haj House, Nampally, Hyderabad. Ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs and other dignitaries will attend the programme.
