Hyderabad, April 14 (Maxim News): Popular playback singer Mangli met Hyderabad Police Commissioner V. C. Sajjanar regarding alleged defamation linked to a microfinance dispute case that has recently gained attention across the state.
Mangli submitted a formal complaint, stating that false allegations are being circulated against her on social media and other platforms. She accused an advocate named Subbarao of deliberately spreading misinformation without any evidence, which she said has harmed her reputation.
She further alleged that she has been specifically targeted over the past few weeks through baseless claims and requested strict legal action against those responsible for the campaign.
Mangli also informed officials that similar false narratives are being spread against other individuals involved in the matter. She stressed that such actions are unacceptable, especially from individuals in responsible professions, and urged authorities to conduct a thorough investigation.
Responding to her complaint, Sajjanar reportedly assured that the issue would be examined as per law and appropriate action would be taken.
Meanwhile, supporters of the singer have demanded strict action against those spreading false information about celebrities and their personal lives. (Maxim News)
