Despite a complete ban under Rule 119 of the Central Motor Vehicle Rules, 1989, and Section 190(2) of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, many motorists continue to use sirens and musical horns. These devices create unnecessary noise pollution, cause public nuisance, lead to panic, and sometimes result in accidents due to confusion on the roads.
