Speed Up Ration Cards Application Clearance: Civil Supplies Dept

Hyderabad, May 8 (Maxim News): Civil Supplies Department issued orders for clearance of new Ration Cards. For this two committees were formed with four senior officers and ordered officials to follow the recommendations for clearing of pending new Ration card applications.

A two-member committee was constituted for HMDA region and another two-member committee for rural regions in the State for speeding up clearance of ration card applications. The committee members submitted their report along with recommendations for clearing pending ration card applications.

Instructions were passed on to the District Civil Supplies Officers (DCSOs) and Assistant Civil Supplies Officers (ACSOs) to clear pending applications in their logins within seven days. They should utilize the services of District Project Associates (DPA) for clearing ePDS related works. As a large number of applications were pending in Rangareddy and Medchal districts, officers concerned were instructed to depute senior checking Incharge and Junior Enquiry Incharge.

Necessary instructions were issued to meeseva and eseva centers to upload Ration Card applications in Department Official format. Operators should capture all the family members’ biometric authentication at the time of submission of application forms as this would avoid bogus and ineligible applications. Operators should scan and upload valid documents properly without any blanks. As pending applications were more in the HMDA area, a data entry operator to be drated in each ACSO office to scan and upload the enquired documents. Regarding this, Commissioner for Civil Supplies Akun Sabharwal issued orders.

The Commissioner ordered officials to speed up the clearance of ration card applications from June 1 as election code was ended. The pending applications till now should be cleared within seven days after enquiry. On Wednesday, the Commissioner at Chief Rationing Office (CRO) gave appreciation certificates to the CRO officers and employees, who performed well in clearing ration cards, solving 6A cases, collecting gunny bags from ration shops.
