Hyderabad, Sept. 21: Telangana aims to become a major hub for health innovation by connecting healthcare with technology, pharma and life sciences, Minister D Sridhar Babu said on Monday.
He was speaking at the inauguration of HOMA CME 2026 at T-Hub in Hyderabad.
The conference focused on precision phenotyping in diabetes and metabolic care.
Sridhar Babu also launched the book The New Paradigm during the event.
He said technology can help improve healthcare delivery and support better management of chronic diseases.
Sridhar Babu Highlights Health Innovation Initiatives
The minister said a free metabolic calculator app called Metric Explorer had been launched.
He said the government was also implementing a proof of concept programme involving 50 patients from government hospitals.
The initiative aims to connect IT, pharma, life sciences and startups with healthcare, according to the minister.
Sridhar Babu said Telangana was working to develop a comprehensive health innovation ecosystem in Hyderabad.
He called for greater attention to diabetes and metabolic diseases.
The minister said lifestyle data analysis could help identify health risks and support early detection of chronic diseases.
He also said the government would support new ideas and innovations in healthcare.
Sridhar Babu urged medical experts and researchers to work with the government to develop practical healthcare solutions.
The HOMA CME 2026 programme brought medical professionals together to discuss diabetes, metabolic medicine and precision healthcare.
