Hyderabad, Sept. 21: The Telangana government has announced a one time relaxation of rules for beneficiaries with Indiramma houses under construction.
Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy said the decision followed requests from public representatives.
The relaxation will allow eligible houses that have reached the basement or upper stages to receive clearance in one go.
The government has also approved the release of funds for eligible constructions.
Indiramma Houses Get One Time Construction Relaxation
Ponguleti said the special relaxation would apply only once.
He clarified that the relaxation would not apply to future L3 grants.
The state government will bear the additional financial burden arising from the relaxation, he said.
Meanwhile, the government has decided to cancel sanctioned Indiramma houses where construction has not yet started.
The cancelled houses will be allocated to other eligible beneficiaries, according to the minister.
The Telangana Housing Board is also currently implementing Indiramma housing initiatives in urban areas. Its official website lists ongoing beneficiary selection and housing activities under the scheme.
