Hyderabad, Sept.27 (Maxim News): The State government today paid rich tributes to former minister and statehood champion Konda Lakshman Bapuji to mark his 104th birth anniversary across the State. Ministers participated in the programs held in all districts and paid homage to him.
At Ravindra Bharathi here, Home Minister Mahamood Ali paid floral tributes to Konda Lakshman Bapuji to mark the event. The Home Minister said Lakshman Bapuji was a stalwart, who fought for statehood. He quit his minister post and intensified the movement for statehood.
He also gave his “Jala Drushyam” area to TRS boss K Chandrashekhar Rao when he revived the statehood movement, the Home Minister recalled. Bapuji was a committed leader and had shown the path for achieving statehood, Ali noted. KCR was conducting Bapuji jayanthi across the State, he added. (Maxim News)
