A stray dogs attack on a four year old boy has triggered panic and fear among residents of Shantinagar Colony in Hydershakote, Ranga Reddy district. The incident occurred when the child was playing in the colony and was suddenly surrounded by a group of dogs. The attack has once again brought attention to the growing concern over stray dog menace in residential areas.

According to local residents, four stray dogs surrounded the boy, identified as Vedant Reddy, and bit him indiscriminately. The child suffered serious injuries in the attack. Family members rushed him immediately to a private hospital for treatment. Doctors treating the boy stated that his condition is currently critical. Meanwhile, the sudden and violent nature of the stray dogs attack has left the colony residents shaken.

Later, panic spread across Shantinagar Colony as news of the attack circulated. Parents expressed fear over allowing children to play outside. Residents said the presence of stray dogs has become a daily threat. Therefore, the incident has increased anxiety among families living in the area, especially those with young children.

However, locals pointed out that this was not an isolated incident. Residents said stray dogs attacks have occurred earlier in the same area. They recalled previous incidents and claimed that complaints were made, but no lasting solution was provided. As a result, anger is now growing among the people of nearby Himagiri Colony as well.

Meanwhile, residents openly accused authorities of negligence in controlling the stray dog population. They said officials failed to take effective steps despite repeated incidents. Therefore, they are demanding immediate measures to control stray dogs and ensure the safety of children and residents. Locals stressed that authorities must act without delay and stop ignoring the issue.

The residents also made it clear that playing with the lives of children is unacceptable. They urged officials to take responsibility and prevent further stray dogs attacks. As the boy continues to remain in critical condition, the incident has intensified calls for urgent action. The situation has highlighted the fear and insecurity faced by residents due to unchecked stray dog movement in residential colonies.
