Hyderabad: A college principal has been booked after a student alleged that he attempted to sexually assault her at a private college in Telangana’s Nagarkurnool district. The incident, which reportedly occurred in Kollapur, has sparked outrage.
According to the student’s complaint, the principal allegedly attempted to sexually assault her late at night inside the college premises. The student said she resisted the alleged assault and managed to escape after biting the accused during the struggle.
Student Files Complaint
The survivor approached the police and lodged a complaint against the principal. She alleged that this was the second time he had behaved inappropriately with her.
The student also claimed that she had remained silent earlier because her original educational certificates were with the college, and she feared that speaking out could affect her academic future.
Based on her complaint, the police registered a case and launched an investigation. Officials are collecting evidence and recording statements as part of the probe.
Further legal action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
