Students Have The Right To Protest: CJI Funds SEBI Circular Wrong

Delhi/Hyderabad, Aug 14 (Maxim News): The Supreme Court today expressed its opinion in the Nalsar Law University controversy case. The apex court found the circular issued by the BCI to be wrong in taking a harsh decision on students. The court said that students have the right to protest. Chief Justice Surya Kant said that no one can stop the students. Chief Justice Surya Kant was invited to the Nalsar University convocation. But a section opposed his arrival. The Bar Council has taken a tough decision on this controversy. The BCI has issued a circular that 2026 Nalsar University graduates should not be enrolled in the Bar Council. The circular was withdrawn after criticism was received.

However, today, the bench headed by Chief Justice Surya kanth gave orders in this case. Chief Justice Surya kanth said that this is a matter related to him and the students and that the BCI has nothing to do with this dispute. Justice Joymalya Bagchi and V Mohan are present in the Supreme Court bench. The CJI said that how is the BCI interfering in the discussion between him and the students. He said that no action should be taken against the students. He said that the BCI should give an explanation on his orders. BCI Chairperson Mannan Kumar Mishra said that they are collecting a report about the protest held at Nalsar University against CJI Kant.(Maxim News)
