Submit Detailed Report on Teen Gang-Rape Incident: Governor Directs CS, DGP

Hyderabad, June 5 (Maxim News): Telangana Governor Dr.Tamilisai Soundararajan directed Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar and Director General of Police M Mahender Reddy to submit a detailed report within two days in connection with the alleged gang-rape of a teenage girl in a car in Jubilee Hills area on May 28.

A Raj Bhavan communique here said, the Governor had gone through various media reports on the alleged gang-rape of a 17-years old girl.

Soundararajan said she was deeply anguished over this henious incident.

On Saturday, police arrested two juveniles and they were produced before the Juvenile Court for their safe custody.

Another accused Saduddhin Malik (18) was arrested on Friday and two others identified in the crime – one identified juvenile and Omair Khan (18) were absconding. A manhunt is underway to apprehend them.

Meanwhile, National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has also sought an explanation from Hyderabad Police over the delay in the registration of an FIR in connection with the gang rape.

The NCPCR also sought the registration of an FIR against the pub for allowing entry minors, who were involved in the crime. (Maxim News)
