Hyderabad, Nov 6 (Maxim News): The Charminar Police have registered two suo-moto cases against Gulam Khader Jeelani @ Mannan and Khaja Ahmed Khan Imtiyaz for their alleged involvement in extortion of large sum of money from Mukheed Chowdhary in connection with a construction project and outrage of modesty of women. A case under section 387 r/’w 34 IPC registered by Charminar police.
As no individual was ready to come forward to register an FIR due to fear of the accused, the police registered an FIR suo moto and proceeded with the investigation.
The investigation has revealed voice recordings of the accused available in the public domain with the following URL https://youtube.com/watch?v=c0fYSwRwqyU&si=QFr3IUxg5BWNMpc4, in this video, Imtiyaz was found abusing Jeelani in a vulgar language and outrageously passing comments on the modesty of jeelani’s female family members.
To ensure the authenticity, clarity, and credibility of the evidence, the Hyderabad Police Department has decided to approach the court to re-record these voice samples.
A case under sections 354, 505, and 509 PC also register involves the outrage of the modesty of women. The victim was asked to register a complaint in this case. but fear of retaliation prevented her from coming forward. This case was triggered by a complaint from G.Karunakar Reddy, the SI of Police at PS Charminar, who came across a public video with the following URL https://youtube.com/watch?v=caOREj5K3gk&si=t9E5NG54AW3f38bD. The video contained vulgar and derogatory language from Jeelani directed at the female family members of one Faizal Baig. the content of the video not only stands as an affront to societal values but also indicates an intent to outrage the modesty of women.
The Hyderabad Police is taking swift and decisive action concerning this alarming content. In light of these developments and the interconnected nature of the cases, the department is seeking help, cooperation, and any additional information that could aid in the investigation.
