Diwali holiday

The Central Election Commission has canceled the Diwali holiday.  The Election Commission has rejected the state government's proposal to give a holiday on Monday.  It has been clarified that Diwali holiday will be given on Sunday itself.  

The Andhra Pradesh government has issued a notification changing the Diwali festival holiday to November 13.

Hyderabad, October 20: The State government has declared a general holiday on account of Diwali on October 24, Monday, instead of October 25 (Tuesday).
