Talasani Directs Officials To Transfer Pending Insurance Amounts To Farmers

Hyderabad, Sept.26 (Maxim News): Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today directed officials to take steps in 15 days to transfer pending insurance amount with regard to sheep, animals offered to farmers and yadavs in the state on subsidy.

He conducted a high level review meeting on insurance amount pending for some time. He expressed displeasure at the delay and asked the officials to transfer funds of insurance amount to district Collectors in just 15 days. The State government has prestigiously taken up sheep, milching animals on subsidy to villagers to improve their financial conditions, he said.

However, delay will cause inconvenience to Yadavas and farmers relying on our schemes of welfare, he said. Due to shortage of fodder subsidy, animals were not distributed despite submission of DDs by farmers, he pointed out. Srinivas Yadav asked the officials to conduct a special drive to distribute animals among the beneficiaries and any negligence will be dealt with seriously, he warned.

A delegation from Brazil called on the minister and offered to extend technical support on latest practices of taking cows, Buffalos and sheep for development. They invited Srinivas Yadav to visit Brazil to take stock of the related activities in modern farm houses. (Maxim News)
