Talasani Warns Vets Of Severe Action For Negligence
Hyderabad, Nov.23 (Maxim News): Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today pulled up veterinary officials and staff for dereliction of their duties in districts.
In a meeting with veterinary officials of all districts here today, the minister warned that severe action would be taken against those who are not working with commitment. He asked the officials to make arrangements for conducting elections for Shepherd cooperative societies.
He expressed grief that 70% vaccination was not complete in the villages while no steps for artificial insemination taken were taken so far in the districts. He also asked them to make insurance payment on time for animals died and see that distributed sheep exist with beneficiaries and offer better services at veterinary hospitals, which have medicines and facilities. He also asked them to make field visits two days in a week and see that local staff offer better services to animals in the villages, he said.
The minister also said there are complaints from farmers about poor services and the government was not ready to spare them Srinivas Yadav cautioned. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was spending thousands of crores of rupees for welfare of farmers and Yadavas and other communities in the State. However, the local and district officials were drawing flak bringing bad name to the government, he said, adding there are some 1,300 Gopala Mithras in the districts, who have to help farmers increase milk production, he said.
