Delhi/Hyderabad, Aug 17 (Maxim News): The Bharatiya Janata Party has announced a new team. Many key leaders have been given key responsibilities in the party. Former Union Minister Smriti Irani has been appointed as the party’s central executive. Smriti Irani’s name has been announced as the national general secretary. Former Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje, Baijayant Jay Panda, Rekha Verma and Tariq Mansoor have been appointed as national vice-presidents. Vinod Tawade and Sunil Bhansal will continue as national general secretaries. BL Santosh will continue as the national general secretary. Anil Anthony will continue as the National General Secretary. Out of the 13 National Vice Presidents, six are currently women.
But Smriti Irani is the only woman leader among the national general secretaries. BJP national president Nitin Nabin announced the latest appointments. These changes will come into effect immediately. Former national general secretary Ram Madhav has been appointed as the national vice president. The posts of national vice presidents include former Uttarakhand CM Tirtha Singh Rawat, D Purandeswari, Varshaben Narendrabhai Doshi, Bharati Praveen Pawar, Manpreet Singh Badal, Lal Singh Arya, M Nagaraja and Madhuchandra Kar. The national general secretaries include Smriti Irani, Vinod Tawade, Sunil Bhansal, Biplab Kumar Deb, Satish Punia, Gajendra Patel, Harish Dwivedi and Sanjay Bhatia.
After losing the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Smriti Irani was given key organizational responsibilities for the first time. Former Congress party representative Rohan Gupta was given the status of BJP national secretary. Union Minister Piyush Goyal took over the responsibilities of BJP national treasurer. Rajesh Mangal was given the post of national joint treasurer. In the wake of the upcoming assembly elections in several states, the BJP has made changes in the party. (Maxim News)
