Hyderabad, Sept. 5: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Friday held a meeting with TCS representatives on IT investments and technology partnerships in the state.
The government and TCS, Hypervolt and partner companies signed an MoU to establish the country’s largest AI data centre campus in Hyderabad.
The project involves an investment of up to Rs 70,000 crore. It will be developed across more than 250 acres with a planned capacity of 1 gigawatt.
The Chief Minister assured IT companies that the Telangana government would provide full support for their investments and facilitate the required permissions.
Rs 70,000 Crore AI Data Centre Project Takes Shape
The proposed data centre is expected to create around 7,000 direct and indirect job opportunities. Revanth Reddy directed officials to make arrangements to begin the project by June 2, 2028.
The Chief Minister said Future City remains his vision for Hyderabad’s development. He also said he had discussed the project with Tata Sons Chairman N. Chandrasekaran.
Revanth Reddy said the road from Kongara Kalan to Future City would be named after Bharat Ratna Ratan Tata.
The meeting also focused on expanding Telangana’s IT sector and attracting large scale technology investments. The government said it would extend necessary support for the project.
