Telangana Assembly dissolution challenged in HC

Hyderabad, Sept.7 (Maxim News): One Rapolu Bhaskar filed a petition in the High Court challenging the dissolution of the Telangana State Assembly abruptly.

The petitioner objected to the dissolution of the Assembly nine months before the scheduled polls. The development will be stalled in the State due to dissolution of the House abruptly. He also said several crore of public money will be misused due to early elections. He pleaded with the High Court to direct the Election Commission to conduct the elections only after completion of five years of the present tenure of the Assembly.

The High Court will take up the petition for hearing on Tuesday. (Maxim News)
