Hyderabad, Mar 20 (Maxim News): Government announced cashless health security for employees and pensioners. This Employees Health Scheme (EHS) fulfills decades-old demand.

It covers employees, pensioners, and dependents. Rajiv Aarogyasri Trust implements the scheme. Treatment spans 1,998 diseases across 421 private hospitals.

Digital health cards reach 23.51 lakh beneficiaries. Finance Minister Bhatti Vikramarka detailed the benefits today.

Accident Insurance Coverage

New scheme offers Rs 1.20 crore accident insurance for the first time nationwide. Term life cover provides Rs 10 lakh up to age 60. Air accident death adds Rs 2 crore extra. It protects 7.57 lakh employees and pensioners.

Anganwadi teachers receive Rs 2 lakh retirement benefit. Helpers get Rs 1 lakh each. Voluntary retirees at 60 qualify too. Previously, reimbursement systems delayed claims.
