Hyderabad, June 18 (Maxim News): Minister for Irrigation Uttam Kumar Reddy has announced that a decision has been taken to release Rythu Bharosa funds during the monsoon season. CM Revanth Reddy said that he will release the Rythu Bharosa funds at a public meeting to be held in Madhira on June 30th. A cabinet meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at the Secretariat on Thursday. Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy explained the decisions taken in this meeting at a press conference.
Minister Uttam said that a decision has been taken to give bonuses to seven types of Sannas. He said that this decision has been taken as per the demand for them in the market. He said that concerns were expressed in this meeting over the Centre’s low procurement of grain from our state. He said that on this occasion, we have demanded the Centre to purchase the entire grain.
They said that Telangana has decided to buy only the paddy purchased by the Center at the minimum support price. They demanded that the Center immediately release the fertilizer quota. They recalled that Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao has written letters to the Center several times on the same issue. They said that they have decided to go to Delhi soon and appeal to the Center on these issues.
He made it clear to the Center that the highest percentage of urea produced in Ramagundam should be allocated to Telangana. He also asked the Center to cooperate in the expansion of Hyderabad Metro. For this, he demanded that the Center give permission for the second phase of the Metro. He said that he is requesting the Center to immediately release the loan due from IRFC.
On this occasion, Minister Uttam called on BJP MPs to come together to give permission for projects without hindrance to the development of the state. He said that from now on, a digital cabinet will be held. Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy revealed that it was decided in this cabinet meeting to provide free travel facility in RTC buses to students appearing for the NEET exam to be held on June 21st.
It has been decided to form a cabinet sub-committee on VB-G RAM G. This sub-committee will include Ministers Seethakka, Tummala and Uttam. Minister Uttam clarified that after studying this in other states, the cabinet sub-committee will submit a report to the government by June 25. (Maxim News)
