Hyderabad, July 5: The Telangana government cleared 7,437 police recruitment posts, ending long waits for many job seekers.
The Finance Department approved 7,437 vacancies across police services. Previously cleared were 5,000 posts; authorities added 2,437 more.
The breakdown shows 5,000 posts for general police departments, 1,424 for the Special Protection Force, 790 for the Fire Department, and 223 for Prisons.
With full financial clearance, the Telangana State Police Recruitment Board will soon publish official notifications.
Candidates should watch the TSLPRB website for details on syllabus, age limits, and the application process. Protests by unemployed youth in Dilsukhnagar demanding more police jobs helped pressure officials to expand the recruitment numbers.
