- Board announces Inter 2025 schedule and syllabus changes
- Practicals to begin in February with new exam reforms in place
The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education has officially finalised the schedule for the Intermediate Examinations 2025. The exams will be held from February 25 to March 18, covering both first and second-year students across the state.
The Board also announced key changes in the syllabus and examination pattern, confirming that practical and lab assessments will now be included for first-year students.
Speaking to the media, Intermediate Board Secretary Krishna Aditya said the decision followed the approval of the state government.
He outlined new measures to improve the examination process, ensure transparency, and reduce fear among students about practical exams. “A total of 9 lakh 50 thousand students across Telangana will write the Inter exams this academic year,” he stated.
The Board further revealed that practical exams would commence in February and be conducted across government colleges. However, government sector colleges will be excluded from being designated as practical centers.
This adjustment is part of the Board’s effort to ensure smoother operations and better supervision during the practical examinations. Officials said the practical exam schedule has already been prepared and distributed to institutions.
Every year, more than 4.20 lakh students appear for Intermediate practical exams across Telangana. With the new system, the inclusion of first-year practicals marks a major shift in how the Board approaches hands-on learning.
The reforms also aim to update the curriculum structure and practical evaluation process to bring them in line with current academic standards. Krishna Aditya affirmed that the Board is committed to ensuring fair and efficient conduct of exams under the new schedule.
