Telangana: Orange Alert Issued for 19 Districts

Heavy rains are falling in the districts along with Hyderabad. It is raining abundantly across the state. Meteorological Department officials said that light to moderate rains have been reported in many areas. Heavy rains have been reported in some places.

With the rains that have been falling for three days, the flood has increased for the projects. Godavari and Krishna projects get huge inflow. 20 gates of the Nagarjuna Sagar project are being raised to release water.

Here 2 lakh 30 thousand cusecs are coming in flow to Srisailam reservoir.. 10 gates are raised.. 3 lakh 32 thousand cusecs of water is being released downstream. Inflow continues to the three barrages of Godavari projects SRSP, Ellampalli, and Kaseshwaram headwaters.

Heavy rains are falling across the state. The Meteorological Department has announced that there is a chance of heavy rains today and tomorrow.

IMD has given a yellow alert to Hyderabad. An orange alert has been announced for 19 districts. Rivers are overflowing due to heavy rains in the districts.

Difficulties are being faced in many places. Projects are full. The gates of Krishna projects are operating on a flood basis.
