Telangana Political JAC demands raids on engineering colleges
Hyderabad, Sept.5 (Maxim News): The Telangana political JAC today demanded the State government to conduct task force raids on various engineering colleges for committing irregularities in filling up seats.
The coordinator of the JAC Venu alleged that the engineering colleges were selling away seats that fall under B-category and NRI categories by violating the existing rule of reservations. He said that there was an urgent need for the higher ups of the education department to focus on the issue and conduct raids on the erring engineering colleges to prevent the irregularities.
He demanded the state government to cancel the recognition of the engineering colleges besides criminal cases against their management. In a statement he alleged that the engineering colleges were selling away the ‘B’ category and ‘NRI’ seats even before the conduct of EAMCET admission counselling and added that the erring engineering colleges were also not giving any notification to fill up the seats.
He claimed that the authorities had not taken any action against them even after lodging a couple of complaints with them. He said that the silence of the authorities concerned against the erring engineering colleges was causing a lot of doubts in their minds. (Maxim News)
