The Telangana Rising Document aims to enhance the image of Hyderabad and set new goals for the state, Governor Jishnu Dev Verma said on the occasion of Republic Day. He spoke after unfurling the national flag at the Parade Ground in Secunderabad. The Governor said the Constitution has given freedom and equality to all citizens. He also said unity in diversity remains the country’s strength.
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and ministers took part in the Republic Day celebrations. Meanwhile, the Governor received a guard of honour from the security forces. Later, he addressed the gathering and spoke about governance, development, and welfare measures.
Referring to the Telangana Rising Document 2047, the Governor said the public government recently unveiled the document to strengthen Hyderabad’s image. He said the document has set fresh targets for the future. He added that the government divided the state into three economic zones. These zones focus on three key sectors. Therefore, the plan aims to guide growth in a structured manner.
The Governor also spoke about cultural and heritage initiatives. He said Telangana Thalli Inauguration Day is celebrated every year on December 9. He added that the government allocated Rs. 251 crore for the development of Medaram. Meanwhile, the Bathukamma celebrations held last year earned a place in the Guinness Book of Records. He said these events reflect the cultural identity of the state.
On farmer welfare, the Governor said the government provides free quality electricity to farmers for 24 hours. He said loans of up to Rs. 2 lakh were waived for 26 lakh farmers. He also said the government pays a bonus of Rs. 500 per quintal on small paddy. According to him, the state paid Rs. 1,780 crore to farmers as a grain bonus. He said Telangana has topped the country in grain production.
The Governor said the government introduced the Bhu Bharati Act to resolve land disputes. He also said authorities completed the recruitment of Group 1, 2, and 3 jobs. “The public government has created 62,000 jobs so far,” Governor Jishnu Dev Verma said in his speech. He concluded by linking these measures to the long-term vision outlined in the Telangana Rising Document.
