Hyderabad, Sept 4 (Maxim News): With most urban voters busy at work during the day, instructions have been issued to schedule the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls hearings, particularly in the Core Urban Region Economy (CURE) area, in the evenings.Book Walking Tours
The move comes after the Telangana Chief Electoral Officer’s inspection revealed no major turnout of voters for the hearings in the CURE area. In one such inspection held in Medchal-Malkajgiri district on Thursday,
Electoral Registration Officers were directed to hold hearings for working professionals in the evenings. This is aimed at giving voters flexibility to depose before the BLOs or Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) for hearing and submit necessary documents.Download Interactive Maps
The AEROs and BLOs were asked to thoroughly verify records and applications related to voters who have not been mapped and those falling under the categories of discrepancies (anomalies). Instructions were also issued not to trouble voters for additional documents beyond the prescribed ones. (Maxim News)
