Hyderabad, April 3: Telangana Textile Production took center stage as Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said the state stands number one in textile production. He made these remarks while addressing the Asian Textiles Conference at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre.

Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister welcomed leaders and experts from the textile sector to Telangana and Hyderabad. He said India has a rich history of producing the best textiles. He explained that arts, culture, and traditions have shaped textile production for centuries. He added that textiles are deeply rooted in Telangana’s identity.

Meanwhile, Revanth Reddy said that during the Nizam’s era, traders from across the world visited Hyderabad to buy textiles and pearls. He noted that textiles are not just an industry but also a major source of livelihood. Therefore, he said there are strong historical reasons for Telangana to remain at the forefront of the textile sector.

He also highlighted that Telangana is leading in several sectors. These include deep tech, pharma, life sciences, aerospace, defense manufacturing, and energy. He reiterated his vision of Telangana Rising 2047. He said the government will provide all required facilities to investors.

The Chief Minister said the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park has been established in Warangal. He stated that the goal is to develop Telangana into the textiles capital of South Asia by 2047. He also said the broader aim is to build a 3 trillion dollar system by that year.

Meanwhile, he spoke about the growth of Hyderabad as a film production hub. He said Netflix has recently opened its Eyeline studios in the city. He added that Tollywood and Bollywood already use Hyderabad as a major base, and now Hollywood has also joined.

The Chief Minister further said that environmental protection remains a top priority. He stated that green textile hubs will be developed in the state. He added that the goal is to make clothes produced in Telangana available across the world. He also invited investors to partner in the Telangana Rising journey. Ministers Sridhar Babu and Tummala Nageswara Rao also attended the Asian Textiles Conference.
