Universities in Telangana, which have been battling a severe shortage of faculty members, are all set to launch a fresh recruitment drive.
Eleven of the total of 15 varsities in the State will soon convene executive council meetings to issue recruitment notifications for about 1,061 vacancies. A total of 1,551 vacancies have been identified in the 11 universities, of which 1,061 posts have got permission from the Finance department for immediate recruitment.
