TGSRTC Launches Digital Bus Ticketing VIA MeeSeva App

Hyderabad, Feb 25 (Maxim News): In a major step towards digitalising public transport services, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has launched bus ticketing facilities through the ‘MeTicket Mobile’ feature on the MeeSeva mobile application.Telangana travel guide

The app was launched by Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar in the presence of Special Chief Secretary (Transport) Vikas Raj, TGSRTC Managing Director Y Nagi Reddy and MeeSeva Commissioner Ravi Kiran.

The Minister said the initiative enables passengers to book tickets, passes and T-24 tickets from anywhere using the MeeSeva mobile app.

The facility covers Ordinary, Express, Deluxe, Metro and Metro Express services, aligning with the State government’s push towards technology-driven public services.

Nagi Reddy said five categories of bus passes and the T-24 ticket are now fully digital, and passengers can travel by simply displaying the QR code generated through the app.

Through the new integration, the MeTicket Mobile app connects with TGSRTC’s Online Passenger Reservation System (OPRS), enabling passengers to digitally book long-distance and intercity bus tickets.

A total of 1,710 OPRS services are available through the platform, including:

450 A/C services

1,260 Non-A/C services

Around 13,000 seats booked daily

Key destinations include Bengaluru, Tirupati, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Mancherial, Khammam, Adilabad, Asifabad and Warangal.

Passengers in the Greater Hyderabad zone can now obtain and renew five categories of monthly city bus passes digitally through the app:

City Ordinary Pass – Rs 1,400 per month (average monthly sales: 8,000)

Metro Express Pass – Rs 1,600 per month (average monthly sales: 46,500)

Metro Deluxe Pass – Rs 1,800 per month (average monthly sales: 12,000)

Green Metro Luxury A/C Pass – Rs 2,200 per month (average monthly sales: 100)

Pushpak A/C Pass – Rs 5,000 per month (average monthly sales: 450)

The popular T-24 ticket for twin cities is also integrated into the MeTicket Mobile app. The 24-hour digital travel pass allows unlimited travel upon activation on City Ordinary, Metro Express and Metro Deluxe services. (Maxim News)
