TNGO DA Hike Welcomed By Unions In Telangana

Hyderabad: The Telangana Non Gazetted Officers Central Association and its affiliated unions have welcomed the state government’s decision to increase the Dearness Allowance, calling it a timely and much needed relief for government employees. The TNGO DA hike has raised the allowance from 30.03 percent to 33.67 percent, a move that union leaders say will strengthen the financial stability of employees amid rising costs.

Speaking after the announcement, TNGO Central Association President Marvam Jagadeshwar thanked the Chief Minister for approving the DA hike despite what he described as financial challenges faced by the state. He said the decision reflects the government’s commitment to employee welfare. According to him, the increase will directly support thousands of government staff who depend on regular revisions in allowances to manage household expenses. He also noted that the TNGO DA hike would boost morale among employees working across departments.

Meanwhile, Jagadeshwar said continuous dialogue and sustained negotiations with the government played a key role in achieving this outcome. He stated that the association had consistently raised the issue of Dearness Allowance during discussions with officials. Therefore, the latest decision stands as a positive result of those efforts. He added that the TNGO Central Association will continue to work to safeguard employee rights and press for solutions to unresolved matters.

TNGO General Secretary Dr S M Hussaini, also known as Mujeeb, expressed confidence that more progress would follow. He said official meetings with the Chief Minister are expected soon. According to him, these meetings could help address other pending employee grievances. He stressed that the association remains hopeful that issues affecting government staff will be resolved through dialogue.

At the district level, Hyderabad District President S Vikram Kumar and the District Secretary also welcomed the TNGO DA hike. They described it as a major relief, especially for field level employees who face daily work pressures. They said the decision would ease financial stress and help employees focus better on their duties.

Overall, union leaders said the DA hike sends a positive signal. However, they also underlined the need for continued engagement with the government to resolve remaining concerns. They reiterated that employee welfare must remain a priority in future policy decisions.
