Torrential Rain In Kamareddy: Railway Track Washed Away By Flood: Many Trains Cancelled

Nizamabad/Hyderabad, Aug 27 (Maxim News): Torrential rains are lashing kamareddy district, kamareddy has been inundated with record-breaking rainfall. Life has come to a standstill as floodwaters surge and flow. Roads are turning into ponds and puddles. GR Colony is submerged in water.

Traffic from kamareddy to Hyderabad has come to a standstill as floodwaters from the kamareddy Pedda Cheruvu are flowing heavily on NH 44. Transport services on the Ramayampet to Hyderabad route have also been suspended. Heavy rains have damaged the railway track near Bikkanoor-Talamatla in kamareddy district. Gravel was washed away under the track as floodwaters flowed over the track.

The railway department, alerted by this, has stopped 22 trains. The movement of trains coming from Maharashtra, Nanded, Aurangabad and Shirdi to Hyderabad has been disrupted.

On the other hand, the Hyderabad Meteorological Center has issued a red alert for kamareddy district. It has warned of the possibility of heavy to very heavy rains. (Maxim News)
