TPCC Chief Writes Open Letter to CM KCR
TPCC president Revanth Reddy has written an open letter to Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.
He said that under the TRS government, the lives of VRAs have become impossible, and it is sad that their premature deaths and suicides are routine.
He said that the government is showing complete negligence in protecting their rights. Revanth asked KCR to solve their problems, provide job security and keep his promise as Chief Minister.
Revanth Reddy said that exactly two years have passed since KCR promised on September 9, 2020, as a witness to the assembly, that he would give pay scale to VRAs. “No more VROs. A pay scale will be implemented for VRs with educational qualifications.
Those with higher educational qualifications will be promoted. When they reach 55 years of age, we will give their children an opportunity to become VRAs as a legacy…” he promised on that occasion. The VAs were blown away by your assurances.
Hoped that lives would change. It is hoped that if the pay scale is implemented, the salary will be equal to that of regular employees. It is assumed that whenever PRC is implemented, salaries will increase. It is expected that the promotions will come in the same manner as the employees in other departments.
More importantly, they thought that there would be job security. But you are wrong as usual. Except for making generous promises, you never have the sincerity to follow through on them. The same trend was shown in the case of VRs. You, who broke your promise, will be held responsible for the deaths of the VRAs,” Revanth said in his letter.
Revanth questioned that if the promise given by the Chief Minister is not followed, then there is no governance in the state.
Revanth warned that they should still fulfill the promises given to them, otherwise the Congress Party will not only support the struggle of the VRAs but also prepare to take direct action on their behalf.
Demands:
• Pay scale for VRAs should be implemented as per your self-assurance.
• Deserving VRAs should be promoted.
• Double bedroom houses should be built and given to them in their own villages.
• Compensation should be given to the families of VRAs who died in the line of duty and committed suicide during the strike. One of their family should be given a job.
