TPCC Decide To Mount Pressure On Govt On RTC Issue
Hyderabad, Nov.27 (Maxim News): TPCC Working President Kusuma Kumar said senior party leaders held discussion on letter written by party MLA Toorpu Jayaprakash Reddy and decided to mount pressure on the State government on the issue of the future of the RTC workers. He demanded that the State government not to privatize the routes belonging to the RTC. He warned the State government that they would cancel all the private routes after wresting power if the State government went ahead with its decision.
Speaking to mediapersons along with MLA Jagga Reddy, Kusuma Kumar said the RTC workers were facing a lot of problems and were not in a position to even buy essential commodities to maintain their families. Referring to the statement of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, Kusuma Kumar asked the Chief Minister whether he did not praise the RTC workers for their role in the separate Telangana State struggle. He also demanded that the State government focus on strengthening the corporation instead of privatizing it.
He said the RTC strike attracted the attention of the entire world and TRS party‘s former MP B Vinod Kumar was mobbed at Washington DC by the people of Telangana State.
