TPCC Delegation Briefed Guv On The Loss Due To Floods

Hyderabad, Aug 1 (Maxim News):  A Congress delegation led by CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka has briefed the Governor Dr. Tamilislai Soundararajan on the loss of life, crop loss, and property damage caused by the floods due to heavy rains in the state.

He alleged that the government has failed to take precautionary measures to protect people from the calamities of natural disasters.

Later speaking to press persons, the CLP leader said even though the officials of the Meteorological Department had warned of heavy rains, the state government was aloof and did not review the government machinery on time.  For nine and a half years, the BRS government did not release funds for the annual maintenance of major, medium, and minor irrigation projects as a result of the negligence of the people due to floods.

Construction of Kaleswaram and Sitarama projects has not been done scientifically, as a result, many areas were flooded with tribal land.  If the check dams built on the Munneru and Kennerasani rivers had been scientifically designed and constructed with the engineering authorities, the damage would not have occurred.

Due to Chief Minister KCR’s , the bureaucracy has been used for political needs rather than for the needs of the people, the entire administrative machinery has failed to take relief measures in such a dire situation.

KCR, who had sent planes to Maharashtra, could not send helicopters to help the tribal people in the agency areas inundated by Godavari floods, why KCR going on a tour of Maharashtra without visiting the victims of floods in the state and not visiting the agency areas?  The sooner the KCR government is brought down, the better it will be for the people.

The merger of TSRTC into the government is a victory of the Congress party.  KCR was asked to merge the TSRTC into the government, he personally abused KCR as an unethical inefficient and thoughtless leader.

The sooner the KCR government is brought down, the better it will be for the people.

The merger of RTC into the government is a victory of the Congress party.  He said that the Congress has announced that the TSRTC will be merged into the government when the Congress party comes to power in 2023-24 KCR decided to merge with that fear.  The Congress government has also given assets to the TSRTC.  If the BRS government wants to loot the TSRTC assets accumulated during the Congress government, we will come on the roads.  Congress party will fight for the preservation of TSRTC assets.  TSRTC assets are the state people’s assets.  when Indira Congress came to power in the year 1978, the Congress party has a history of driving a bus to rural areas with the slogan Intiko Deepam-Uriko Bus.

AICC Secretary, Manthanai MLA Sridhar Babu, Congress party working presidents Mahesh Kumar Goud, Anjan Kumar Yadav, former minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah, PCC senior vice president Mallu Ravi and others have submitted a petition to the Governor asking him to take steps to compensate the flood victims.  (Maxim News)
