TRS Ministers Lashes Out At Eatala For Making Allegations Against CM KCR

Minister Gangula Kamalakar wondered how Rajender, despite being a Minister, dared to purchase the assigned lands and endowments lands which was against the law.

Hyderabad, May 4: Ministers and other TRS leaders from erstwhile Karimnagar district lashed out at former Minister Eatala Rajender for making baseless allegations against Chief Minister and TRS President K Chandrashekhar Rao. They found fault with Rajender over his claims that he was disrespected in the party and instead, accused him of trying to split the party on several occasions.

Speaking to mediapersons , SC Development and Minorities Welfare Minister Koppula Eeshwar said it was not right on part of Rajender against the State government and the Chief Minister after serving as a Minister for such a long time. He pointed out that Rajender was stripped off the Cabinet post in the wake of his involvement in land encroachments, but there had been no attempts to infringe his dignity or self-respect.

“Eatala Rajender joined TRS in 2003 and was given prominent posts within the party during the Telangana movement as well as in the State government after Telangana formation in 2014. Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao gave him different responsibilities and posts, and yet Rajender choses to criticise the Chief Minister for acting upon complaints against him,” he said.

Civil Supplies and BC Welfare Minister Gangula Kamalakar wondered how Rajender, despite being a Minister, dared to purchase the assigned lands and endowments lands which was against the law. He pointed out that Rajender himself had confessed to having purchased these lands. He stated that Rajender who had enjoyed different posts within the party and the government, was now trying to blame the Chief Minister for the action initiated against him for resorting to irregularities and land encroachments.

“Rajender who claims to have studied in BC Welfare Residential Schools, is now owner of hundreds of acres of land and also businesses with turnover of crores of rupees. He also owns a private medical college. How was this possible within such a short span unless he misused his position in the Cabinet,” Kamalakar stated.

Telangana State Planning Board vice chairman B Vinod Kumar refuted the remarks made by the former Minister against the schemes being implemented by the State government. He stated that despite being a Minister, Rajender had been criticising the government schemes like Aasara pensions, Rythu Bandhu and Kalyana Laxmi/Shaadi Mubarak, terming them as futile and meagre.

“No leader who is concerned with the welfare and development of the weaker sections, will criticise these schemes which have repeatedly proven that they are beneficial to the needy and became ideal schemes for other States in the country to emulate. The fact that Rythu Bandhu was launched by the Chief Minister in Huzurabad constituency indicates the importance given to Rajender,” Vinod Kumar added. He reminded that whatever the Huzurabad constituency needed, the Chief Minister had sanctioned all infrastructure and facilities. He stated that the TRS will remain strong in the constituency, even if Rajender decides to quit the party.
