TRS MPs Nama, Santhosh stage protest at LS on farm issues

Hyderabad, Nov.30 (Maxim News): TRS MPs today staged a protest at Lok Sabha in the Parliament against the Centre over delaying tactics on paddy procurement and farm issues. In the Lok Sabha, the TRS MPs led by Nama Nageshwar Rao, Santhosh Kumar, Prakash, Suresh Reddy and others exhibited placards on their demands.

The MPs demanded a debate in the session on the farming issues. The TRS members of the Lok Sabha demanded the Centre come up with a national farm policy, MSP Act and announce clarity on the farmers’ issues. The TRS MPs slammed the Centre for deliberate attempts to delay the farming issues, paddy procurement and MSP. They showed placards in this regard and demanded an urgent call on the same.

The MPs further demanded the Centre to give Rs 25 lakh compensation to kin of about 750 deceased farmers. The TRS Government announced Rs 22.50 cr to offer Rs 3 lakhs each of them, they said. (Maxim News)
