TRS Will Play King-Maker Role At Centre: KTR
Hyderabad, March 16 (Maxim News): TRS working president KT Rama Rao said Telangana can dictate terms to the Centre by winning 16 Lok Sabha seats in upcoming LS polls.
Addressing a meeting of the TRS parliamentary segment in Nalgonda with minister G Jagadish Reddy at Suryapet here, KT Rama Rao exuded confidence that the ruling party will win 16 MP seats. Local MLA Bhupal Reddy gave a grand welcome to KTR by holding a rally of 10,000 bikes and the party working president garlanded a statue of Telangana Thalli. All-religious prayers were performed and priests blessed KTR, who thanked them for the grand welcome.
Later, KTR said the TRS will play a pivotal role in the Centre by winning 17 MP seats – 16 of the TRS and one of the AIMIM, he said. So far, the governments at the Centre have deliberately ignored development of Telangana State and the region, he charged. “We have achieved statehood with just two MPs and now we will achieve our goals and funds for future development by winning 16 MP seats”, he averred.
The TRS leader wooed the people of Nalgonda segment noted for struggles and movements for the statehood and for achieving their rights. This time, the TRS retained power and will work for more development and rapid growth, he said. “We have to win the 16 MP seats and achieve our rights at the Centre, which so far ignored our plight for development. Together the Congress and the BJP will not form government at the Centre, he averred.
There are so many other leaders other than Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi, who will play a role at the Centre after the polls, he said. The Congress, which has only 44 MP seats will hardly get 100 seats and the BJP may get 150 seats and not beyond that and together they will not come to power at the Centre, he predicted. The Congress leaders are against TPCC Chief Utham Kumar Reddy and the BJP has lost people’s support in the State and the entire country”, he said. Jagadish Reddy said they are achieving now what they have so far lost in 60 years. (Maxim News)
