TS Water Crisis | Hyderabad, April 7 (Maxim News): Due to the government’s lack of foresight, reservoirs in Telangana are turning into dead storage.
Farmers are expressing concern as the Yasangi season is in its final stages. Analysts are warning that if the rains do not fall on time, there will be a severe shortage of drinking and irrigation water.
On the other hand, farmers are expressing anger that the Telangana government is not paying attention even though the AP government is transferring water against the rules.

Experts say that the current storage capacity of only 43.75 TMC against the capacity of 215.81 TMC in the Srisailam project, only 176.06 TMC against the capacity of 312.05 TMC in the Nagarjunasagar project, only 28.85 TMC against the capacity of 80.50 TMC in the Sriram Sagar project, 9.54 TMC against the capacity of 17.80 TMC in Nizamsagar, 7.46 TMC against the capacity of 29.91 TMC in Singur, and only 4.71 TMC against the capacity of 9.66 TMC in Jurala project is a matter of concern.
If the same trend continues, they warn that there is a possibility of a serious crisis in the state for irrigation and drinking water. (Maxim News)
