TSPSC Gherao: Lathi Charge on Group-2 Candidates

Hyderabad, Aug 10 (Maxim News): The candidates started an agitation demanding the government to postpone Group-2. The police lathi-charged the agitating candidates. This created a tense situation at the TSPSC office. However, the police have arrested the candidates.

As some of the candidates attacked the police who were preventing the agitation, there was a clash between the police and the candidates. The candidates said that the protest will not stop until the government comes down.

TJS president Kodanadaram has called for concern. TJS leaders and NSUI state president Balumuri Venkat, who were protesting in front of TSPSC, were taken into custody by the police in the morning and taken to Goshamahal stadium. Around 200 people were taken into custody and taken to Goshamahal Stadium.

The candidates started protesting that they were trapped in the Goshamahal Stadium. Also, some candidates protested in front of the TSPSC to immediately release the candidates who were in the Goshamahal stadium. The candidates expressed their concern that the police are acting unethically if they protest peacefully. They demanded that the state government take an immediate decision on the postponement of Group 2 exams. due to this, the tense situation continues at TSPSC. The police were deployed at TSPSC to prevent any rioting by the candidates.

Agitation Should Cease: DCP Venkateshwarlu

Central Zone DCP Venkateshwarlu spoke to the agitating candidates. He warned them to stop the agitation soon, otherwise, all those who are agitating will be arrested. He said that the candidates who came in the morning were pre-arrested and if the agitation did not stop, the rest of the candidates would also be arrested. TJS President Kodandaram said that if he asked for a peaceful dharna, he would have given permission for an hour DCP Venkateswarlu said that the candidates and leaders have been protesting for three hours. Candidates said that they do not have faith in TSPSC and the state government. They demanded that Minister KTR should come and give assurance. Candidates categorically told the police that they will move from there if they give a written statement that Group-2 will be postponed. Candidates reached the TSPSC office in large numbers and started agitation, As the agitation escalated, the police were trying to disperse the candidates.

Petition In TS High Court

A petition was filed in the High Court seeking postponement of the Group-2 examination. 150 Group-2 candidates filed a petition in the High Court to postpone the Group-2 examination scheduled for August 29 and 30. The candidates petitioned the High Court to reschedule the Group – 2 examination due to Gurukula and other recruitment examinations. (Maxim News)
