There were 20 passengers on board during the accident. Fortunately, police confirmed that no one suffered injuries. The bus was traveling from Medchal to Isnapur and was returning to the Medchal depot when the mishap took place. In response, Patancheru police arrived at the scene soon after receiving information about the incident. They later confirmed a technical fault as the reason behind the accident.

This incident follows closely after the tragic Chevella bus accident in Rangareddy district, where 19 people died when a tipper lorry collided with a bus loaded with gravel. That tragedy had already left Telangana in shock, and today’s Patancheru mishap has renewed fears about passenger safety on TSRTC services.

Local passengers expressed concern over the continued number of bus accidents in the state. “Everyone knows how tragic the Chevella bus accident in Rangareddy district was,” one statement noted. “Before this incident could be forgotten, another accident took place in Telangana.” The statement reflects public anxiety about recurring mishaps involving TSRTC buses, especially when caused by mechanical or technical issues.

Police officials said they are investigating the exact cause of the brake failure. Meanwhile, TSRTC authorities are expected to review the vehicle’s maintenance record and implement stricter safety checks. The recent rise in RTC bus accidents has put pressure on transport authorities to ensure safer travel conditions across Telangana.
