Turn Every Village into a BJP Stronghold: State General Secretary Kasam Venkateswarlu
Khammam/Hyderabad, July 22 (Maxim News): As the local body elections in Telangana draw near, BJP State General Secretary Kasam Venkateswarlu has issued a clarion call to party workers to transform every village into a BJP fortress. He urged the cadre to take the elections as a challenge and work relentlessly to secure victory at the grassroots level.
Addressing a special workshop organized by the BJP district unit in Khammam, Venkateswarlu, alongside District BJP President Nelluri Koteswara Rao, emphasized the need for the party to contest every seat in rural areas. “Every vote must become the building block for national development,” the leaders declared, highlighting the strategic importance of local governance.
Venkateswarlu criticized the ruling Congress government in Telangana for failing to release funds to local bodies over the past two years, which he said has crippled rural development and weakened panchayat administration.
“In contrast, it is the Narendra Modi-led Central Government that ensured funds were directly transferred to rural bodies, preventing a total breakdown of village-level governance,” he stated. He further added that the BJP’s focus is on strengthening self-reliant villages that contribute to the nation’s progress.
The BJP leadership urged grassroots workers to connect with the public, raise awareness about local issues, and highlight the party’s commitment to development, transparency, and good governance.
With the party eyeing a strong performance in the upcoming local polls, the message is clear: Organize at the village level, mobilize support, and establish the BJP’s presence as a dominant force across rural Telangana.
