Two Arrested In Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bhima Scam: Cyberabad CP

Hyderabad, Feb 26 (Maxim News): The police have arrested two persons in the Rythu bandhu and Rythu Bima scam case that created a sensation in the state. Agriculture Extension Officer, Srisailam and the cab driver Odela Veeraswamy were arrested.

The Cyberabad Commissioner of Police Avinash Mahanty disclosed that the insurance money was stolen by creating false documents as if 20 farmers had died. Avinash Mahanty said that the financial crime wing of the police is investigating the scam.

Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bima funds of Kondurgu Mandal have been diverted. Ranga Reddy district agriculture Officer complained to this extent.  Rythu Bima with false documents in respect of 20 farmers and diversion of rythu Bandhu funds in the name of 130 people.  The accused opened 7 bank accounts with his friend, explained the CP.  (Maxim News)
