Hyderabad, June 8: Two persons from Sangareddy district died in a road accident on NH 765D near Battemmagudi in Kowdipally mandal of Medak district late on Sunday night.
Police said the accident occurred when the victims were travelling towards Sangareddy from Medak on a two wheeler and reportedly crashed into a roadside railing.
The deceased were identified as Abhishekh, 35, a resident of Nandikandi, and Chandrakanth, 39, a resident of Sadasivapally in Sangareddy district.
According to the police, Abhishekh died on the spot due to severe injuries sustained in the crash.
Chandrakanth was shifted to a hospital for treatment. However, he succumbed to his injuries a few hours later.
Preliminary investigation indicated that rash and negligent driving may have led to the accident.
Police registered a case and launched an investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
The bodies were shifted to the Government Hospital in Medak for postmortem examination.
