Two Killed In Water Tank Collapse In Nalgonda

Chityala/Hyderabad, Oct 19 (Maxim News): A water tank collapsed on a makeshift shed sought to be converted into a hotel, claiming the lives of a mother and her son in Peddakaparthi village of Chityala mandal in Nalgonda district late on Saturday night. Two others sustained injuries in the incident.The victims have been identified as P. Nagamani, 32, and her six-year-old son, Vamshikrishna.

The family was preparing for the opening of the eatery on Sunday. According to preliminary reports, the family had erected a temporary water tank atop the makeshift structure.

Eager to make last-minute arrangements for the hotel opening, they decided to spend the night on-site. The tank collapsed under the weight of water filled in it leading to its sudden collapse around midnight. Police registered a case and investigation is on. (Maxim News)
