Rajanna Sircilla/Hyderabad: Two teenagers drowned in the Manair river on the outskirts of Sircilla town on Friday.
According to local residents, Haricharan Goud (18) and Manikanta (17) had gone to the Manair river near Ramappa Temple for a swim.
Bodies Retrieved With Help Of Locals
As the two reportedly did not know how to swim, they drowned in the river water.
After learning about the incident, family members rushed to the spot and broke down in grief.
Locals helped retrieve the bodies from the river before police arrived at the location.
Police officials visited the spot after receiving information and registered a case. The bodies were shifted to the Sircilla Government Hospital for postmortem examination.
Further investigation into the incident is underway.
